After working and owning a shop for several years outside of B.C. Dave established Second Street Tattoo in 2013. This is a primarily custom tattoo shop that offers walk-ins as well.
Whether local or one of our clients that travel to see us, we work hard and are dedicated to providing our clients with well thought out, custom tattoos that will stand the test of time in a comfortable, clean environment.
Using clients ideas as a starting point and turning them into a solid, long lasting tattoo is our priority.

The local area

sidney is a small town on vancouver island that has a heavy tourist presence in the summer. close to the ferry/airport and a 20 minute drive from victoria. for the size it has a lot of great restaurants. good food, good drinks. the shop is a block from the ocean with a view of mountains and the surrounding islands. a small core with everything within walking distance surrounded by residential. we have a dedicated local clientele with quite a few people travelling to get tattooed and a busy tourist season from spring to fall.

there are several hotels in sidney and quite a few airbnb ranging from basement suites to farmhouses with amazing views, of course dependant on the time of year because of tourist season. i also have plenty of room at my house and i’m happy to put people up there once i get to know someone.
