I own and operate Two Tides Tattoo in Vancouver, BC I have been building machines on and off since 2005 and I also own and operate Hungry Ghost Tattoo mfg. I prefer Japanese styled tattoos with my own twist and will tattoo most anything that appeals to me or follows good form and has flow.

Through travel and guest spots I seek to learn from others and exchange ideas as well as build connections /networks and clientele abroad. I love getting to meet other machine builders and discussing techniques and tricks. I’m a people person and am super easy going.

Apprenticeship Details

I started my apprenticeship in 1999 under the guidance of Mike Young who apprenticed under Vincent Ruocco who apprenticed under……. lol insert history here. Lol I was with Mike for just shy of 2 years and started with him in Vancouver and finished on the other side of the country in Prince Edward Island. I was also fortunate to work under Laszlo Szondi while he lived here in Vancouver. Laszlo is a Hungarian artist who owns Lez’Art du Corps a beautiful shop in Chateau-Thierry France where I have guest spotted in the past. I have also spent time in Japan and traveled with Horimitsu (member of the Horitoshi family ) Mitsu has become like a brother to me and I consider him to be a mentor as well.

Experience Wish

I would like to make new connections with like minded people who share a love of tattooing and machine building. I would like to learn new techniques and tricks of the trade while developing relationships which will allow for further travel networking and learning from one another.
